Best Artist 2009 NTV ![]() these are just a few. still looking for more. (: Labels: Arashi, Aymuni Hamasaki, Best Artist 2009 NTV, Kat-Tun 150 Johnny's Members Compete in Sports: Kamenashi and Nakamaru MVPs! On December 13th at Tokyo Dome the 'Johnny's Selected Members Large Sports Festival (ジャニーズ選抜大運動会)' was held for the first time in 5 years. A total of 150 Johnny's members participated, including Kondo Masahiko, Nakai Masahiro, Domoto Koichi, Takizawa Hideaki, KAT-TUN and Johnny's Jr. They were divided into two teams and competed in various sports. J-RED was led by Takizawa, and Kamenashi was leader of J-WHITE. The MVP for baseball was Kamenashi Kazuya, and for soccer it was Nakamaru Yuichi; both are members of KAT-TUN. For baseball it was a close game, with J-WHITE starter Kamenashi and J-RED relief pitcher Nakayama Yuma performing superbly. At the top of the sixth inning (final inning), J-WHITE was leading 3 to 2. With two outs and runners on first and second, the J-RED batter was Nakayama. Kamenashi struck him out with a mean fastball, successfully pitching a complete game and leading J-WHITE to a victory. In soccer, J-RED's young Okamoto Keito of Hey! Say! JUMP showed great hustle but wasn't enough to beat J-WHITE Nakamaru's hat trick. The final relay race turned into a dead heat in which Hey! Say! JUMP members Yamada Ryosuke, Nakajima Yuto and others went head to head with the KAT-TUN members, including Ueda Tatsuya and Tanaka Koki. There was great competition between members in their teens and 20s, and both sides were never ready to concede victory without a good fight. Kondo and Nakai were surprise guests. Nakai, who participated in the baseball game, constantly chided the younger Johnny's members. Even the KAT-TUN members were forced to go on the defensive, with Tanaka being told "You've too many ear piercings.", while Taguchi Junnosuke was derided "Your smile looks fake." Nakamaru was told "You don't have any features that stand out." Nakamaru commented about becoming the MVP for soccer. "In a way I was pretty serious. I've always told the other KAT-TUN members that I was good at soccer because I had played the sport for 7 years. I'm glad I was able to prove that claim." The baseball MVP Kamenashi beamed. "I feel happy that we got to strengthen our bonds through sports." Takizawa said "We should do this again next year." Might there be a chance for the festival to become an annual winter event? credit: musicjapan Labels: Domoto Koichi, Hey Say JUMP, Kamenashi Kazuya, Kat-Tun, Kinki Kids, Kondo Masahiko, Nakai Masahiro, Nakajima Yuto, Taguchi Junnosuke, Takizawa Hideaki, Tanaka Koki, Ueda Tatsuya, Yamada Ryousuke Monday, December 14, 2009
Shaun Evaristo & Heart and Soul!![]() Shaun Evaristo (choreographer of Big Bang and 2NE1) has choreographed Heart and Soul! He wrote on his Tumblr: "AAA were a pleasure to work with, quiet at first but understood what I was doing and worked hard. Their style of music is not one I’ve ever really listened to before. Jpop is different and to understand their style I had to understand the culture more. It was a challenge for me to find a way to make things work, and I like that I got to see what I was capable of. It was a winter is coming type of song, so I definitely had to think about the season when creating . These guys are nice people and I can tell they enjoyed our time. Can’t wait to see the outcome." During the radio program 'WHAT'S UP SMAP!' broadcast on December 4th Kimura talked about what happened on that day. It has become something of a tradition for him to each year in the program reveal who was the first to send him a Happy Birthday email. The winner was his younger brother, who sent an email at exactly 0:00. "The second one came way afterwards, at 0:50. That's quite a long time. People might have been surprised to find that I don't have many friends, but that's not the case. I don't want to make excuses, but it's because I haven't told everyone that I'd changed my email address. That's why I didn't get lots of emails." Note how quick he was to come up with a plausible excuse! He then talked about the second person who emailed Happy Birthday. "It came from KAT-TUN member Kamenashi-kun. He said he had learned my new address from someone else. He made the effort to find out on his own." That's typical of Kamenashi, who's known for his integrity! After that many celebrities emailed their congratulations. But since there were also many people who couldn't because of the new address, he apologized. "Instead of emails, lots of people left messages using the cell-phones' answering machine service. Many people said 'I've sent an email, but it doesn't seem to work. I'll just say Happy Birthday here on the phone.' They were able to do that because I didn't change my phone number. I'm really sorry for causing trouble." He said he recognized the preciousness of the bonds shared between people. "These sorts of occasions, like my birthday, make you realize the importance of the people around you." From next time he'll probably opt to tell as many people his new address. Labels: Kamenashi Kazuya, Kat-Tun, Kimura Takuya, SMAP Japan Becoming Nation of Tsunderes? Getting your restaurant introduced on a “gurume” (gourmet) TV show can be great for publicity. But it also has its pitfalls. Like attracting the wrong kind of clientele. “A first-time customer demanded, ‘I want the same dish you served on that TV show,’” a restaurant operator relates to Shukan Gendai (Dec 12). “When I told him, ‘Sorry, but we prepared that specially for the program,’ he became infuriated. “I went to the trouble to come here, so you’d better come through!” he screeched. To avert a blowout in front of the other patrons, the operator agreed, but this failed to console the customer. “That was not the dish I’d expected, so I won’t pay for it,” he huffed. “I let him leave without paying, just to get rid of him,” the operator sighs. Japan, it seems, is fast becoming an “ichamon” society, where people don’t merely raise complaints, but make false charges and pick fights at the slightest pretext. Last July, Shinichi Sekine, author of “The Claimer Next Door,” (Chuokoron Shinsha, 2007) published a “White Paper on Complaints.” Of over 5,000 respondents to Sekine’s questionnaire, nearly 40% noted that complaints at their workplace have been increasing of late. The highest response was among teachers and educators, of whom 53.7% of whom said they had been directly in the line of fire. “Until 2008, I’d been an administrator at a university for three years,” a source from academia tells the magazine. “During that time, I constantly had to field claims by students’ parents. Their methods were hardly different from yakuza. They would latch on to the smallest problem and demand that I acknowledge it, and apologize to them. Whenever I conceded a point they would ratchet up their claims.” The day after cream stew was served at the cafeteria of a Tokyo primary school, a parent called to confront a teacher, saying, “My kid hates stew, so yesterday he only ate bread. I want a refund for that day’s lunch.” To help municipal workers deal with the growing number of aggressive claimers, the city of Toyama has produced a manual, and since found itself swamped with requests for copies by public organizations all over Japan. “Patients are bellowing, ‘Hurry up and examine me!’ or ‘The doctor has a bad attitude!’” sighs a worker at a university hospital in Tokyo. “The staff can’t get their jobs done. So more university hospitals have been employing retired cops to deal with these ‘monster patients.’” “With so many scandals, awareness has been growing that even major corporations and famous companies can’t be trusted,” explains management consultant Katsuhiko Egawa. “As a result, people are more determined not to let themselves get hoodwinked or suffer a loss.” But White Paper author Sekine believes the recent barrage of bellicose objections also reflects a change in the temperament of Japanese people. “They are not just complaining; their methods are becoming increasingly spiteful, such as demanding money or an apology in writing,” he points out. “I think a key factor may be the declining sense of contentment.” source : japantoday Labels: gurume/gourmet tv Nana Mizuki - Theme of Lan Fan by The Alchemist [Full Single] ![]() Release Date: 9th December 2009 Language: Japanese Genre: Anime Tracklist: 01 空風 02 そっと、そっと 03 空風(instrumental) 04 そっと、そっと(instrumental) [Download Link] Labels: Nana Mizuki, The Alchemist
